Interpretation of Magnetic Anomalies by Simple Geometrical Structures Using the Manta-Ray Foraging Optimization

In this paper, a geophysical strategy based on the recently proposed Manta-Ray Foraging (MRF) Optimization algorithm is adapted and presented for blind computation of depth/shape defining parameters from magnetic anomalies due to buried geo-bodies. The model deciphered are coefficient amplitude (K), structure’s origin (x 0 ), depth (z), magnetization angle (?), shape factor (q). After detailed piecewise design, new inversion tool originally trial-tested anomaly data generated synthetically. uncorrupted version test first analyzed, then - it corrupted with noise varied at 5, 10, 15, 20% corruption levels. Thereafter, experimented profiles taken exploration fields in United States, Peru, Egypt. From evaluation results obtained, procedure observed as exhibiting outstanding stability flexibility especially noisy dataset notable efficiency quantitative resolution problems. obtained field cases also mostly consistent when compared background similar studies conducted other methods; further affirming reliable investigation minerals.
